Translation
Translation refers to the transfer of meaning between a written text in one language into a written text in another language.
Source texts can come in various forms, from contracts to the user interface of an app.

Interpreting
When interpreting, we generally transfer the meaning of spoken language from one language to another.
This can be done simultaneously (in an interpreting booth) or consecutively (for example standing next to the speaker on a stage).
